I was planning my wedding in Cardiff long distance from where I live in PA. It was challenging and time consuming to try to put all the pieces together and I was stressing out but the minute I spoke with Backstage I knew things were looking up. He is a great listener and very eager to help with people who know nothing about sound systems (like me). I explained my ideas and he knew exactly what it would take to make it happen.

​​He even checked out our location online to make sure he had the size and distance aspects covered. He gave us exactly what we asked for at a price better than others. BEST of all he was there at the right time, right day and place and he set it all up and stayed to teach us and stayed as long as we needed to make sure everything worked for the ceremony. Then he took it all down. He was absolutely fantastic. I TOTALLY recommend them for any important event.

High quality equipment and high quality service!

My husband and I rented a keyboard from Jerry for our wedding this past weekend. Our relatives (aka the ceremony musicians) wanted to practice with the keyboard the night before the wedding. Jerry brought the keyboard over to our house and set it up. He then came back the next day to transfer it to the ceremony venue where he then stayed throughout the ceremony and was right there afterward to pack it up and haul it away!

Jerry not only obviously cares a lot about keeping the equipment in good shape, but saved us a ton of effort and coordination by providing all the equipment transportation for no additional charge! My husband (who rented the keyboard from Jerry) said, "I love Backstage Rentals. I wish they could have been our vendor for all of our wedding needs." Oh, if only Jerry knew how to tailor a silk wedding gown...

Exceeded our expectations

We just used Backstage Rentals for our new year's eve party. The service and sound system was excellent. Our guests kept commenting on how great the music sounded. When the sound system got delivered it made a dramatic positive impact to the party atmosphere at our home. We highly recommend their services. Me and my roommates decided to have a last minute house party this past weekend. We called several rental companies but either no one had anything in stock, or no one would deliver at the last minute. I found Ray at Backstage Rentals & read the Yelp reviews & he answered right away. I didn't even know what to ask for really since I had never done this before, but Ray was super nice and got us everything we needed & nothing we didn't. I was kind of concerned that he might try to rent us more stuff than we needed just to charge more, and I would not have known the difference if he did - but my friend came to DJ & was really impressed & said they did excellent & that we did not have anything we did not need. "No fluff" he said.

My DJ loved the equipment, which was in great shape, & the party was a huge HIT, all thanks to these guys. Ray brought us all the cables & everything & hung around to make sure the DJ was comfy with everything before he left. I had no idea renting sound equipment was so easy! Ray answered all my q's, came to set it up, left, & it worked perfectly! He came back SUPER late the same night to take it apart & was really kind to everyone & did not even complain that he had to walk around all the bottles & cups on the floor (sorry!). We're already making plans for the next party, and will use Backstage again. I've even told my boss about them for our St. Patty's Office party! Wohoo!" Taylor J

Jerry was great! He was extremely helpful over the phone during the booking process, and he came through with everything he promised. On time set-up and strike, and all the equipment worked fantastic. Not a glitch during the entire day (we used their equipment for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). Excellent Service!

I needed to rent a screen, DVD player, speakers and microphone to play a still/video montage at the end of my father in law's funeral in a very dark, stone church in Santa Ana.  They came to the rescue with all the right suggestions since I had only a vague idea of what was equipment available and even possible. He contacted the funeral home to arrange to set up the equipment 1.5 hours before the service, played a few seconds of the DVD to align the screen and then adjusted the sound.

He also brought a microphone and speakers to the service so the many eulogies could be clearly heard. He used a 100" pull up screen, 3000 lumen projector, JBL speakers on stands, channel mixer and other equipment. I was very appreciative of the the movie like quality of the commercial grade projector; and screen which was easily visible throughout the church. It looked like a very large and expensive television. They were very professional, followed up every call, and even reached the church before I did. I couldn't ask for better service and would give him 10 stars! Ginger

I have used Backstage Rentals for several events on & off over the years. Lastly I had used them to handle the lighting and Audio system for our corporate party for roughly 200 people. I was very much impressed by the individuals they sent over to work for and they are very professional and courteous. Their prices are modest and they provide top notch service.
